Kerala – Alappuzha, a district in Kerala, has taken steps to secure tourist spots and lower crime rates with the help of CCTV surveillance systems. The move comes in the wake of increasing crimes against tourists, which is harming the economy and image of the district and its locals. The district municipality is identifying locations to install CCTVs to maxximize the impact of the surveillance system.
